Learn how to exercise and move to help strengthen the joints and muscles to improve posture and mobility. You will leave with a clear sense of what your body and joints can do safely. We will cover the Osteoporosis Canada’s updated guidelines. Lead Instructor: Celeste Shirley Registered Kinesiologist, Owner of The Yoga Assisting Trainers Beth Fanjoy, Yoga Teacher specializing in yoga classes for osteoporosis Monica Soderstrom, Certified Pilates Instructor (Physiotherapist, Registered Nurse – Sweden) What You Will Learn: -Safe movement principles for osteoporosis and osteopenia -Strength-building exercises for joints and muscles -Posture improvement strategies -Mobility techniques to support daily activities -Yoga & Pilates adaptations for bone health -Overview of Osteoporosis Canada’s updated guidelines What to Bring: -Comfortable clothing -Water bottle -Notebook (optional) All the information we cover will be available to you in PDF's and videos by Celeste. Bring your questions for our Instructors. This will be a personable workshop providing time for your needs to be addressed.
